Spyderco Stretch 2 ZDP-189 British Racing Green FRN C90PGRE2

It has been a long road in the evolution of the Stretch from the C03 Hunter released in 1983 to the newest Stretch 2 C90PGRE2. Several modifications have been made based on field use feedback from hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. The Stretch 2 features a longer handle for increased leverage, refined, fatigue-reducing ergonomics, and a deeper index-finger choil for a more secure grip. The Stretch 2 is brand new, directly from Spyderco.  

The Blade: The sweeping drop point blade has plenty of belly for skinning and slicing tasks while retaining plenty of point for piercing and detail work. The blade is made from fully flat ground ZDP-189, a Japanese Super Stainless Steel that has some best edge retention available. The blade opens via the Spyderco Round Hole™ making this knife fully ambidextrous.

The Handle: The Stretch 2’s handles are made from Spyderco’s Bi-Directional Textured, injection-molded, British Racing Green FRN that is exceptionally tough while being very light weight. A strong and simple, stainless steel back lock provides secure operation and the knife carries via the classic, stainless steel, Spyderco 4-Position “Hour Glass” pocket clip which makes this knife fully ambidextrous.
