The Spyderco ParaMilitary 2 folding knife has become one of the world’s most popular pocket knives. The size, blade shape and overall fit and finish make it a classic end users just keep coming back for. This Sprint Run version has a CPM CRU-WEAR tool steel blade and Gray G-10 handle brand new direct from the Spyderco factory in Golden, CO.
The Blade:Â Almost 3.5 inches in length and ground into an upswept clip-style for superior slicing ability. It’s very sleek with full flat grind for no-drag cutting. CRU-WEAR is an air-hardening tool steel significantly tougher and more wear resistant than D2. It is not a stainless and therefore is susceptible to corrosion if not properly cared for.Â
The Handle: Textured Gray G-10 handle scales are torx screwed to skeletonized stainless steel liners and ergonomic as hell. There is even a forward choil with notching behind the blade’s edge to choke up on delicate cutting chores. A Bushing Pivot System ensure smooth, fluid movement of the blade in and out of the handle. The front liner forms what Spyderco calls a Compression Lock. This lock is quite genius as it is essentially a liner lock flipped to the top of the handle keeping fingers out of harm’s way.
The ParaMilitary 2 knife comes with a four position pocket clip system making this a truly ambidextrous carry. Lightweight, balanced and scary sharp the PM2 is one classic that’s here to stay.
