Spyderco’s Delica has been a cornerstone of their everyday carry product line since its introduction in 1990. The 4th Generation of the Delica lightweight was upgraded with a 13 mm RoundHole, spine jimping, reinforced blade tip, skeletonized liners, Bi-Directional Textured FRN scales and a four-position screw on clip. This version comes with a flat ground, fully serrated modified drop point blade of satin finished Bohler K390 tool steel blade and dark cyan blue FRN handles.
Brand new, direct from Spyderco.
Blade: Fully flat ground K390 tool steel comes in a modified drop point with a stunning satin finish. K390 is a tough and highly wear resistant steel offering high-end edge retention for true steel connoisseurs. This steel lends itself to thin, high performance edges like those found on Spyderco’s SpyderEdge serrations. An ambidextrous Round Hole opener makes for smooth, easy, one hand operation with a jimped thumb ramp for added control. Just over 2.5 inches of cutting edge makes this an excellent cutting tool you will want to have with you every day.
Handle: Spyderco’s Bi-directional textured FRN offers exceptional traction in the hand with contoured edges for ergonomic comfort in use. The sturdy mid-back lock design is easy to operate and comes with the Boye Dent helping prevent unintentional disengagement under heavy pressure. A hole at the pommel end allows for easy lanyard attachment.
Carries via a 4-position, stainless steel hourglass pocket clip.
Bohler K390: Bohler K390 is a cold work tool steel made with 3rd Generation particle metallurgy processing specifically developed to provide the extreme wear resistance and high compressive strength needed in industrial cutting, blanking, and punching operations. K390 is exceptionally tough and free of impurities compared to conventional steels with CPM-10V-level edge retention and increased toughness. As a tool steel K390 is not stainless and requires consideration to prevent corrosion.
