Maniago Knife Makers or MKM and the Mikita network, have teamed up with prolific custom knife maker and designer Lucas Burnley to create the Fara. The Fara is a clean slip joint folder that offers a traditional feel with modern design and performance. This version comes with Olive Wood scales, stainless steel liners and a satin finished M390 blade clip point blade.
Brand new, direct from MKM Knives of Italy.
Blade: The satin finished M390 blade is a clean and simple clip point with dual fullers and a near full flat grind. The clip point offers fine control at the tip for detail work while being an excellent slicer. The snappy slip joint operation doesn’t lock but offers plenty of security for daily use. The dual fullers offer traction for opening while being seamlessly integrated into the visual design of the blade.
Handle: The handle of the Fara has a modern look with a large palm swell and integral finger guard adding safety during use. Handsome Olive Wood scales house a robust stainless steel back spacer which is equipped with a large oval cutout at the pommel for lanyard attachment. Blue anodized pivot collars add a pop of color to this modern traditional folding knife.
Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
