Brand new, direct from D Rocket Design, USA.
Blade: Made from premium, Bohler M390 stainless steel, dagger-like blade comes with a discreetly non-reflective Black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. The dual saber grinds slice with ease while the symmetrical double-edge tapers to a fine tip for piercing and detail work. Lightening quick deployment is achieved with a simple push of the top-slide. To close simply reverse the action.
Handle: Milled and contoured, aircraft grade aluminum has been anodized black for a discreet look with fine milling for visual appeal. The top is concave, giving smooth access to the to slide, while the bottom is convex to fill the hand with subtle finger grooves for traction. Double action operation is engaged via the tops slide which, along with the Torx hardware, has been coated black.
Carries via an ambidextrous, DLC coated, stainless steel deep carry pocket clip.
Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
