New from Cold Steel and designer Andrew Demko, comes the Swift II, one of a series from the new Swift line of assisted opening knifes. The new Flash-Tek spring assisted mechanism provides smooth, fast opening action that pairs with the strength and reliability of the classic back lock. With a black DLC coated dual tone blade made from high performance CTS-XHP, the slim modified spear point has slicing and piercing potential for days. A stylish modified spear point blade is black DLC coated and has a pronounced recurve on the spine with jimping above the dual thumb studs.
The feel of the knife in the hand is very important. Cold Steel went the extra mile to 3D CNC machine G10 handle frames to provide a secure hold on the knife. The jimping on the blade and along the top of the lock bar allows for precision work or power cuts. Proudly made with American G10 and Carpenter steel, the Swift is another hit from designer Andrew Demko.
About CTS-XHP: An alloy steel made by Carpenter, CTS-XHP was developed as a corrosion resistant D2 alternative. Our research shows users estimating edge retention slightly ahead of S30V, and toughness comparable to D2. This makes CTS-XHP a premium steel, which should hold a great edge and be reasonably corrosion resistant.
