Designed with everyday users in mind, the Benchmade Shootout is a robust and easy to maintain, budget friendly EDC out-the-front automatic. Made from lightweight and weather resistant CF-Elite composite, the Shootout handle is designed to look like a modern folding knife for discreet carry and use while offering an ergonomic grip and lightening fast deployment. Practical and tactical, the modified Tanto blade is made from ultra tough CPM CruWear tool steel with Flat Earth PVD coating for a rugged, hard use tool. This version comes with a partially serrated blade.
Brand new, direct from Benchmade Knives, USA.
Blade:Â A nearly full flat grind on the modified Tanto blade offers great slicing performance while the tip is more robust for piercing. The cutting edge offers a clean slicing plain edge in the front and serrations near the back for tough, fibrous materials. Taller than the average OTF blade, the Shootout has enhanced performance while still providing fast, double action automatic operation. The pronounced thumb slide also makes a solid thumb ramp for added safety and leverage in heavy cutting tasks. Flat Earth PVD coating is durable, discreetly non-reflective and provides corrosion resistance for the non-stainless CruWear blade.
Handle:Â Molded Graphite Black CF-Elite delivers a lightweight and durable handle that is more rigid than other molded polymers and is nearly impervious to the elements. Designed to look more like a folding knife than an auto, the handle is ergonomically contoured and is secure in multiple grip positions for optimal versatility. Black PVD coated hardware and a carbide glass breaker pommel round out the construction
Carries via a reversible, tip down, stainless steel deep carry clip.
CPM CruWear:Â is a tool steel toughness approaching that of CPM 3V with edge retention comparable to CPM S30V/S35VN. While it is a tool steel the chromium content makes it semi-stainless and corrosion resistance should be at or above that of D2.
