If you need some supplementary fortification in your tactical daily carry rotation, the Benchmade redoubt is a solid choice thanks to the durable, high traction dual polymer handle and CPM-D2 tool steel blade. Simple and utilitarian, this Black Class Griptilian is a discreet carry option with a practical design to get the job done. Non-reflective black Cerakote helps prevent corrosion and delivers a low profile package along with an Overlander Gray Grivory handle with forest green grip overlay. The partially serrated blade makes short work of tough, fibrous materials.
Brand new, direct from Benchmade Knives.
Blade:Â With a high saber grind and long swedge the partially serrated drop point blade offers balanced performance at any task. CPM-D2 delivers good edge retention and toughness with a boost in corrosion resistance from the Cerakote coating, which is durable and non-reflective. Rugged phosphor bronze washers make operation smooth via the ambidextrous green thumb studs.
Handle:Â Light, tough and weather resistant Overlander Gray Grivory houses the blade and AXIS lock mechanism with a forest green “Fat Chunky Waffle” grip overlay for excellent traction along with the jimping. The neutral design is comfortable in multiple grips and the AXIS lock is smooth, solid, and secure in operation.
Carries via a reversible end mount deep carry clip.
CPM-D2:Â Standard ingot D2 has been used since WW II and is a semi-stainless tool steel with good corrosion resistance and edge retention. CPM-D2 is cleaner, with a more refined grain structure and significantly better strength and toughness compared to ordinary D2.
