Highly regarded as one of the most quintessential EDCs of all time, the Warren Osborne designed Benchamde 940 is slim and stylish offering time tested performance in nearly any situation you can image after over a decade of use in the field. Lightweight yet robust, the 940 starts with a solid foundation in Benchmade’s high strength, ambidextrous AXIS Lock housed in inset, partial stainless steel liners. Slim, contoured handle scales are made from Tough 6061-T6 aluminum keeping the 940 lightweight while offering superb comfort in use and carry. Pair that with the high performance stainless steel blade and you have a timeless everyday carry classic. This version comes with Green anodized handles and a satin finished, CPM-S30V Reverse Tanto blade.
Brand new, direct from Benchmade Knives, USA.
Blade: A utilitarian reverse Tanto blade profile was built to tackle your daily cutting tasks. Smooth, ambidextrous dual thumb stud operation offers fast, one handed access while the satin finished CPM-S30V blade delivers a good balance of durability and slicing performance thanks to the high saber grind and top swedge. The reverse Tanto point enhances durability while retaining solid piercing performance.
Handle: 3D milled Aluminum handle scales are contoured for comfort and provide a lightweight, durable handle option. Green anodized with contrasting purple spacer, the handles have a fine blasted texture for a secure grip despite the lack of aggressive milling. A neutral handle design means comfort in multiple grips for added versatility while the ambidextrous AXIS lock is smooth and reliable with rock solid lockup.
Carries via a reversible, tip-up stainless steel pocket clip.
CPM-S30V: A powdered stainless steel with high levels of edge retention and corrosion resistance S30V was developed specifically for use in knife blades. The powdered process gives it a very refined grain, improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
