The Benchmade 556-S30V Mini Griptilian offers the value of the classic GTX handled Mini Griptilian with the enhanced performance of CPM-S30V for the blade steel. The Mini Griptilian offers the same great performance of the full-size version in a more carry friendly package. This version comes with a plain edge, satin finished, saber ground Drop Point blade with thumb stud opening and black handles.

Blade: The blades of the Griptilian series were designed to excel at everyday cutting tasks while keeping enough in the tank to handle the worst scenarios. The 556 comes with a satin finished Drop Point blade and dual thumb stud openers. Made from CPM-S30V with a saber grind you get a great combination of toughness, edge retention and low-maintenance stainless properties with enhanced performance over 154CM. The long top swedge offer enhanced piercing performance while retaining durability at the tip.

Handle: Black Noryl GTX handles house the robust and ambidextrous AXIS lock mechanism with partial steel liners for durability. The handles are diamond textured and contoured for a secure and comfortable grip in any position. Noryl GTX is a polymer resin that is tough, lightweight and resistant to heat, cold, water and chemicals for a truly hard use cutting tool.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, black coated stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM-S30V: A martensitic, powdered stainless steel with high levels of wear and corrosion resistance. Its chemistry promotes the formation and even distribution of vanadium carbides, which are harder and more effective at cutting than chromium carbides. This gives it a very refined grain, further improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
