The 533BK-2 Mini Bugout folder from Benchmade Knives expands on the popular Bugout, delivering another “go anywhere” ultralight folder, this time in a sub-3” blade platform. As with the original, the 533 is extremely slim, ergonomic and comes in high quality materials at an outstanding price point. This version comes with a black Cerakote coated, CPM-S30V blade and Graphite Black CF-Elite handles.

Blade: Classic drop point profile provides excellent overall utility at work or in the field, with a tapering top swedge to refine the point. Made of American CPM-S30V stainless steel, the blade delivers a good balance of performance and ease of maintenance. Durable black poly-ceramic Cerakote is non-reflective and corrosion resistant. Dual black aluminum thumb studs and phosphor bronze washers give smooth, ambidextrous operation.

Handle: Graphite Black CF-Elite, a new ultralight weight composite, further reduces the weight and increases rigidity while delivering good toughness and resistance to the elements. Diamond texturing on adds traction without being aggressive on the user or other equipment. Black coated aluminum barrel spacers complete the easy-to-clean construction with an oversized pommel hole for lanyard attachment. A black coated titanium lock bar gives the AXIS lock smooth, reliable performance and keeps the weight down at a scant 1.5 oz.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, stainless steel mini deep carry clip.

CPM-S30V: A PM stainless steel developed specifically for use in knife blades, S30V has a high level of wear resistance (edge retention) with good corrosion resistance, better than 440C or 420HC. The powdered process refines the grain, improving performance for a balanced blade steel. Toughness is comparable to other PM stainless steels, relatively low.
